Helicopter ride around the Statue of Liberty

Betty Garee of Johnstown had always wished to see the statue of Liberty.
Lady Liberty held a special place in her heart since she was a little girl, when her father talked frequently about passing the Statue on a troop ship embarking for Europe during World War I.
Her father would tell her the story of when he passed by the Statue and shouted out, "Look at me now cause you are never going to see me again!" Betty's father did make it home safely and to him, the Statue of Liberty became a symbol that he had made it home.
On behalf of The Angel Foundation, we would like to express our appreciation to Liberty Helicopters, Kismet Limousine, Jeri Slone and the staff of Northview Senior Living Center for their assistance in making Betty's wish of a lifetime come true.
Sun, sand and lots of fishing

For 41-year-old John Thompson of Hamilton, the desire for warm weather and fishing during a cold winter became a reality.
John had been fighting a long, hard battle with lung cancer and the very thought of a short trip instantly put a smile on his face. With the assistance of The Angel Foundation, John and his wife, Janet, spent four days at a villa on a secluded island next to the ocean in Florida.
During their visit they walked the sandy beach, collected many seashells and enjoyed a fishing charter with Captain Mark Bennett. They caught so many fish that they lost count.
John and Janet wrote a letter of their appreciation upon their return: "Thank you again for making John's wish come true. Wishes really do come true thanks to The Angel Foundation."

Dad/family getaway
Being able to provide for his family has always been a top priority for Eric Sizemore of Tipp City. He was blessed with a loving wife, three children and a granddaughter.
Two years after being diagnosed with Melanoma, Eric was no longer able to work. He wanted to spend quality time with his family away from the monthly doctor's appointments and treatments.
He wanted to take his family to Great Wolf Lodge. Arrangements were made by The Angel Foundation for the family to spend three days and two nights at the lodge.
Eric played in the water and rode the water rides with the kids. His daughter and granddaughter enjoyed getting their faces painted while dad had a cancer ribbon painted on his arm. Jill wrote to The Angel Foundation: "Thank you so much for giving us a wonderful last trip together for us to always remember."
Renewing wedding vows after 20 years
Gene Gilleo of Celina was diagnosed with end-stage heart disease and for the most part, was confined to his home.
When his home health care social worker informed him about The Angel Foundation, his first choice was to renew his wedding vows with his wife of 20 years, Lisa.
Several people from the area came together to make this wish come true. Mercer County Council on Aging donated its van and the driver donated his time to transport Gene.
The Moose Lodge in Celina donated its banquet room for the event and a local pastor performed the ceremony. The wedding cake and many of the decorations were also donated. Professional photographers Adam and Mindy Andrews donated their time and took over 800 pictures of Gene and Lisa's special day.
